Eric Ratzlaff was named the club’s Head PGA Professional
in December 2016, following one season as the club’s Associate Head Professional.
A graduate of the PGM program at the University of Nebraska (May 2013), Eric earned his PGA Class A Card that same summer. He joined the Persimmon Woods PGA staff at that time.
Prior to coming to Persimmon Woods, Eric served internships at Malone Golf Club in Malone, N.Y., where he worked for 2015-16 PGA of America President Derek Sprague, at Kansas City’s Oakwood Country Club and with the Nebraska PGA Section.
In his time as an Assistant and Associate Head Professional at Persimmon Woods, Eric made significant contributions in the areas of Tournament Operations, Club-Fitting, Junior Golf and Merchandising. As the Head PGA Professional, he has taken on a significant role in the club’s teaching program.
“Golf lessons allow me to get to know a golfer on a more personal level,” he says. “Learning about each person’s family and values and what is most important to them is something I really enjoy. At the end of the day my goal is to help golfers get better in a way that best serves them, day in and day out. They will realize so much more joy in playing the game as well as practicing the game.
Eric lives in St. Peters, Missouri.
