Meet Chuck Friedhoff

St. Louis native Chuck Friedhoff is completing his third year heading the staff at Persimmon Woods. Under his direction, the club has elevated both its casual and formal dining.
After more than a decade working in Massachusetts,  including a six-year term as Executive Chef at the Northfield Mount Hermon School in Massachusetts, Chef Chuck returned to St. Louis in 2007 to serve in the same executive capacity for J. Buck's in Clayton.

During his experiences in Massachusetts and in Missouri, Chef Chuck developed a fondness for creating dishes utilizing locally produced foods. He takes great care to incorporate produce and meats from farms within the region.

Chef Chuck, who studied under local Chef Christopher Desens at The Racquet Club West, describes his cooking style as Rustic American. "My goals are to provide full flavored foods that are also visually pleasing," he says. "I'd like to make our offerings a mix of home-style comfort food with the occasional twist."

When not in the kitchen or shopping at local Farmer's Markets, Chuck enjoys fly fishing. He recently took up the game of golf.

Come meet and dine with Chef Chuck, who lends a refreshingly creative spin on many popular dishes on both Persimmon Woods' lunch and dinner menus.
